BLACK FILM IN DEMAND! (LITERALLY)

New York, NY (BlackNews.com) -- In celebration of Black History Month, digital cable subscribers across the United States will be able to access a brand new category of Movies on Demand (MOD). Feb 1, 2010 heralds the launch of “Black Cinema On Demand,” announced iN DEMAND, the leading distributor of MOD to cable. The category will include some of the most acclaimed, award-winning and influential films created by or featuring the most celebrated black directors, actors and themes. Viewers will have a chance to revisit these pivotal films or see them for the first time on demand.

The movies feature great actors such as Angela Bassett, Morgan Freeman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Denzel Washington, Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover, Chris Rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, Anthony Hopkins, Danny Aiello and many other stars in memorable performances. Included are documentary tributes to two of the greatest sports figures of our time, Muhammad Ali and LeBron James. Systems set to carry the offering include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Bresnan Communications and RCN. Prices for the films range from $1.95-4.99. With Movies On Demand through digital cable, viewers can watch movies instantly, pause, fast-forward and rewind. Viewers can find “Black Cinema On Demand” by going to their on-screen guides or their cable system websites. Dream A Little

Looking back on the timid fantasies of women in 2008 compared to 2010; one things to say- they’re speaking up! Statistics say a steady 47% of women have daydreams of firefighters. Runner up in the daydreams are soldiers, stole 28% of women’s daydreams, businessmen 27%, doctors 26% , and footballers 20%. Tally has grown 1.7-35% of women confessed to having fantasies about politicians. I believe; it skyrocketed since Obama has taken office (wink). At the bottom of the list of women's sexual fantasies were milkmen, only in 0.8% of women's dreams. Now who actually had a milk man in 2008; or 2010!? I am sure it was just for the sake of mental fulfillment.
February's edition of Essence Magazine supplies the ladies with fantasy aides, if you will. Jeannine Amber’s “What’s Your Fantasy” featuring New Orleans Saints, Reggie Bush bares a peck (oops peak) of his gentle side. I am sure this will increase his percentage for daydreams. Reggie leaves just a little something to think about. Jeannine shares her locker-room fantasy with Reggie and other hot celebrities like; Idris Elba – (TAKERS AND THE LOSERS), Adam Rodriguez (CSI MIAMI & UGLY BETTY), Lance Gross (HOUSE OF PAYNE & OUR FAMILY WEDDING), and my favorite David McIntosh (FORMER U.K. GLADIATORS FIGHTER- ACTOR). A very excellent selection of dream candy!

Is now titled replacement judge on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew replacing Shane Sparks due to his recently pending charges in child molestation case.

“I’m so excited to be a judge on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew. Dancing and performing is what I do and being a judge on this show will allow me to give creative feedback to the newest and hottest dancers on the rise.” Omarion, who is has a trained background in tap, jazz, hip-hop and African dance, will break in ABDC with Lil Mama and JC Chasez on January 28 at 10 PM ET/PT

Personally we all know he is definitely the best qualified replacement. Nobody can deny his exquisite dance skill. Kudos to you Omarion & good luck to you Shane!! What do you think?

I met Erk in 2007, right before the "Hood Nerd" Mix Tape. A hilarious mixture of comedic dialogue, original lyrics, and mostly original beats. With songs he produced himself like "Pinocchio" and interludes like my favorite "If Your Bootsy and You Know It." I have personally watched his star status propel in this game. Following the "Hood Nerd" mix tape in 2008 with "Flyest In The World" produced by Traxamillion, and 2009 with the national hit "Right Here". Now when I first met Erk I recognized his originality and his humble persona. This is the key to success for sure, but one thing people questioned; does he have staying power?
The answer to that; I would have to say is, YES! His following hit "Plane In The Air" featuring Too Short (MUSIC VIDEO LINK AVAILABLE BELOW). Is definitely a good choice to keep his status growing. Kudos to you Erk!!

The worst thing a 22 year old rap artist could imagine; his mother not only following him, but embarrassing him on Twitter. Anyone who has worked with Bow Wow growing up understands that his mother is nobody's punk, to say the least. Last night Bow Wow's mother worked his nerve so badly last night; Mr. Bow Wow pleaded and begged her to stop. His pleads had no affect, and on went the Twitter battle. Bow Wow Vs Ms. Caldwell; better known as mom.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE HAIR ON HER LEGS??

Who cares about the hair on her legs? Mrs. Mo'Nique brought the Golden Globe home to all the people in the trenches. Now as a faithful viewer of her debut UPN sitcom "Parkers" and all of her films she featured and starred in, not to mention her very own late night talk show on BET (Black Entertainment Television) I had to personally take offense to Jay Manuel charging at Mrs. Monique's leg status... Possibly had it been anyone else I would have sided with his fabulous fashion royal opinion.

Comments like these Mr. Jay derail the severity of the circumstance - the woman won her first freakin GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD!!! for an outstanding film such as "Precious" I am not gonna lie, I was a little pissed at Tyler Perry orginally for having it in select theatres lol... but I got over it. Kudos- to you Mrs. Monique!!!!

According to Bossip, Ms Rowland just bumped up her status to newly "Universal Motown Recording Artist."

According to Bossip sources Ms. Kelly was in the Motown Records office last Thursday and she walked out with a band new record deal. It remains to be announced of her album's drop date or the amount of the signed deal. Ms Kelly is undoubtably "On to the next..." from Mathew Knowles and Music World. Hopefully she’ll be on the scene of things where she belongs sooner than later... we only hope.
